Westward!

So what was waiting in my inbox Sunday morning?
An acceptance letter from Urban Craft Uprising!
20 minutes later, my flight to Seattle was booked. My first time ever in the American Northwest. Can't wait to get this view:

Wow. I'm living in a bubble of craziness right now, and loving it!

Spent the weekend with the fam; it was a riot. We ate some amazing Thai food in Woodside (Queens) then headed out to see Assembly of Dust. I thought my dad would hang towards the back of the Bowery Ballroom, looking unhappy (he's not a rock-band-seeing kinda guy). But instead he stood his ground right in the middle of the pot-smoking, dancing, screaming crowd. The show was SO fantastic.

We also trekked over to Hoboken for the Arts and Music Festival. Saw lots of amazing artists there, but this jewelry designer was head-and-shoulders above the rest. Stunning.

Oh, here is a new pair of earrings -- my first design to ever use posts instead of ear wires. What do you think?

Soooo....because you bitched and bitched to me that everyone reads your blog, but fails to comment on it...let me be one of the first!!! Love the new earring design! You know that if I wore earrings, I would be asking for a pair. :-) I also have to tell you that you look exactly like Lu in that fabulous family photo. You knew it was just a matter of time before we turned into Lu and Roz!!!
